Libya's ambassador to Kuwait said Monday the Libyan embassy in Kuwait operates from Monday as a representative of the Libyan National Transitional Council.
Mohammad Al-Mubarak said he would join the will of the Libyan people to recognize the opposition as their sole and legitimate representative, Xinhua reported.
Opposition forces stormed into Libya's capital Tripoli Sunday, capturing two of the Libyan leader's sons, Seif El Islam and Saadi Gaddafi, while the eldest son, Mohamed Gaddafi gave himself in.
Government tanks Monday rolled out of the Bab al-Aziziyah compound of embattled leader Muammar Gaddafi to fend off opposition forces who already controlled most of the capital.
