Turkey had registered 20 companies with Azerbaijani capital in January 2021, which is by 10 companies more than in the same month of the previous year, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend.
According to TOBB, in the reporting month, the total capital of Azerbaijani companies registered in Turkey amounted to 2.86 million liras ($410,000), as compared to over 1.4 million liras ($210,000) in January 2020.
Meanwhile, most of the Azerbaijani companies were registered in Istanbul (17 companies) with a total capital of slightly over 2.5 million liras ($360,000).
Five of the companies were engaged in wholesale and retail trade, five - in real estate sales, 1 was industrial company, 1 construction, and 1 financial-insurance company.
"The remaining companies with Azerbaijani capital operate in other sectors of the economy," TOBB said.
The total capital of 5 companies operating in the wholesale and retail trade registered during the reporting period made up 520,000 liras ($74,710), according to TOBB.
In 2020 Turkey had registered 148 companies with Azerbaijani capital.
Meanwhile, most of the Azerbaijani companies were registered in Istanbul (126 companies) with a total capital of over 25.4 million liras ($3.5 million).
Some 184 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Turkey in 2019, which was one company more compared to 2018.
