Mousavi accused the government of falsifying the results of voting. The protests of people dissatisfied with the results of the elections caused clashes between police and opposition supporters. Clashes killed 20 people, and about 1,032 people were arrested. According to unofficial data, 150 people died. Several European countries expressed their worry towards events in Iran.
