Teheran to Host Interfaith Dialogue Conference

The Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations of Iran together with the World Council of Churches will hold the fifth conference on interfaith dialogue. The conference on Religion and Peaceful Coexistence will be held in Tehran on 13-14 December, Iranian IRNA news agency said. Iran will be represented at the conference by the chairman of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Guidance Ali Akbar Rashad, the chairman of the Organization of Islamic Propaganda Seyyed Mehdi Hamushi and others. The World Council of Churches will be represented by a delegations led by Rima Barsoum, programme executive for Christian-Muslim relations at the World Council of Churches. So far, the World Council of Churches and the Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations of Iran have held four conferences - The Future of Religion in Geneva, Religion and Secularism, Morality and Politics, and Religion and the Modern World.
