The Fund of State Support for Development of Mass Media under Azerbaijani President has announced a competition of journalistic articles according to the priority spheres of state support specified in the "Concept of state support for media development", in connection with the 135th anniversary of the national press.
The competition identifies 17 directions, the press-service of the Fund told Trend on April 29. The competition is open to persons who have at least one year experience in the media. Requirements for articles for the contest: The article must be one of the themes identified by the Fund, every journalist may submit only one article, the article to be published in an edition that was not named in the "black list" of the Press Council, the article should be published in the Azerbaijani language (translated articles published in publications in foreign languages are not accepted).
Two winners will be determined for each topic. A maximum of 25 points is envisaged for each topic. A participant who receives less than 10 points can not become a winner. The winners will receive special diplomas and 1,000 manat.
Contest results will be announced by July 22.
