BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 11. Kazakhstan's oil output in 2025 is projected to stand at 2.03 mb/d, Trend reports.

Therefore, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has maintained its forecast for the country's oil production unchanged from its previous assessment.

According to agency data, Kazakhstan is expected to produce approximately 1.97 mb/d of crude oil in 1Q2025, with an increase to 2.01 mb/d by 2Q2025.

In 2024, Kazakhstan's total oil production is projected to reach 1.9 mb/d, comprising 1.88 mb/d in the second quarter, 1.89 mb/d in the third quarter, and 1.84 mb/d in the fourth quarter.

The agency also notes that Kazakhstan's oil production averaged 1.93 mb/d in 2023, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 0.11 mb/d.

As of the latest data, from January to April 2024, Kazakhstan's oil production totaled 30.26 million tons. This represents a decrease of 0.18 million tons compared to the same period in 2023 when production stood at 30.44 million tons. Kazakhstan aims to significantly increase oil production in 2024 to 90.3 million tons.
