BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 19. Last year, the price tag for paid services provided to the population in Baku hit a whopping 8.3 billion manat, which is around $4.88 billion in the grand scheme of things.
The data obtained by Trend from the Baku City Statistical Department show that this figure grew by 9.1 percent (987.2 million manat or $580.7 million) in real terms compared to 2023 (7.34 billion manat or $4.3 billion).
Moreover, legal entities rendered services to the population for 7.29 billion manat ($4.29 billion) in 2024, which amounted to 87.5 percent of the total value of rendered services.
To note, last year, the value of paid services provided to the population in Azerbaijan increased by 8.6 percent in real terms compared to 2023 and amounted to 12.88 billion manat ($7.58 billion). Legal entities provided 9.69 billion manat ($5.7 billion) services to the population, which accounted for 75.3 percent of the total value of services.
