BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 21. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has signed a cooperation agreement with Fabrikai Kannodii Amiri to support the expansion of Tajikistan’s food-processing sector, the bank said, Trend reports.

The agreement was signed by EDB Management Board Deputy Chairman Ruslan Dalenov and company director Akhliddin Bobomurodov.

The partnership aims to boost the company’s production of flour and confectionery goods through the launch of new lines and the expansion of existing facilities. The project will require long-term investment and technical support, the EDB said.

According to the bank, the initiative will help modernize production infrastructure, strengthen the competitiveness of local manufacturers, and encourage the adoption of modern technologies and quality standards.

Under the agreement, both sides will jointly develop projects to expand production capacity, improve productivity and product quality, and support the introduction of new technologies.

The project is expected to increase domestic food output, create jobs, enhance the country’s food security, and stimulate growth in processing industries and local manufacturing.

As of July 2025, the bank’s portfolio included 319 projects with a total value of $19.1 billion, largely concentrated in transport infrastructure, digital systems, green energy, agriculture, industry, and engineering.
