Azeryolservis LLC of the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan announced a prequalification tender for reconstruction and construction of the stretches of from 31 to 54.4-km (total 23.4 km) and from 55.8 to 80.6-km (total 24.8 km) of Alat-Masalli highway, a source at Azeryolservis said.
The works in the tender include the construction of the upper cover roads, bridges and pipelines, as well as construction of road junctions and crossroads.
Those wishing to participate in the prequalification tender may submit application no later than June 3, 2009.
Reconstruction of Alat-Masalli highway will be realized through the credit provided by the World Bank. Credit was provided to Azerbaijan in amount of $300 million for modernization and reconstruction of highways. Credit is allocated for 40 years with a grace period of 10 years.
