Azerbaijan carried out air transportation of products worth $3.097 billion in total in January-August 2019, which is 2.3 times higher than the figures for the same period of last year, Trend reports referring to a report by Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee (SCC).
During the reporting period, 63,000 tons of cargo were transported by air, which is 2.8 times less than last year's figures.
The volume of air cargo exports amounted to about 54,000 tons (decrease by 3.1 times), worth $186.953 million in total (decrease by 5.6 percent).
Meanwhile, imports for the reporting period amounted to 9,000 tons (decrease of 0.22 percent) and were worth $2.9 billion (increase of 2.5 times).
Overall, Azerbaijan’s trade amounted to $22.9 billion during the reporting period , with exports worth $13.5 billion, and imports worth about $9.4 billion.
