TEHRAN, Iran, Jan. 10
Trend:
The Central Securities Depository of Iran (CSDI) is paying dividends to shareholders of stock companies that are listed in the Securities and Exchange Organization, said the head of CSDI, Trend reports citing IRNA.
A total of 55 percent of stock and OTC companies have paid annual dividends to shareholders via the CSDI system, Gholamreza Abutorabi noted.
About 232 stock companies have paid dividends to shareholders via the system since the start of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021), he indicated.
Thirty other companies will pay dividends to shareholders via the CSDI system by the end of the current year, he explained.
The Securities and Exchange Organization seeks that the new capital market regulation would obligate all stock companies to pay dividends to shareholders via the CSDI system.
