The Ministry of Economic Development has decided to establish a commission to review obligations under the contract with Barmek Azerbaijan for managing Sumgayitelektrikhsebeke AO, said Mikail Jabbarov, deputy Minister of Economic Development. By his words, the review is starting next week.
Up to yesterday, the commission worked only on reviewing the obligations under the contract on Bakielektrikhsebeke. В"In the course of reviewing, it was figured out that some details of these two contracts are similar. In particular, bringing together financial reporting on said power networks, which is not correct as these two networks are regulated by two individual contracts. Consequently, reporting shall be individual as wellВ" - official said.
He found difficulty in saying how long the reviews will take as this will depend on scope of work and information provision by Barmek upon the commissions request.
The said commission, headed by Jabbarov himself, consists of representatives of ministries of economic development, finance, tax, ecology, labor and social security, as well as State Privatization Committee and Azerenerji AO.
