A contract for daily collection of 14 million cubic feet (about 396,000 cubic meters) of gas at the Saadatabad oil field in Iran’s Fars province has been signed, said Ramin Hatami, executive director of Iranian Central Oil Fields Company, Trend reports referring to the National Iranian Oil Company.
Hatami said that the agreement was signed with two Iranian companies.
The executive director added that the work on the project, which will be commissioned within 2 years, will start in 2 months.
Commenting on the collection of flare gases from Sumar and Naftshahr fields, Hatami said that the implementation of these projects will prevent flaring of 12 million cubic feet (339,000 cubic meters) of gas daily.
The director added that the project for the collection of flare gases from Cheshmeh Khosh, Aban, Paydare Gharb, Dalpari, Dehloran, Danan and Khosht fields will also be transferred to the relevant company.
