Azerbaijan, Baku, Aug. 27 / Trend G.Veliyev /
The Baku Metro will begin installing new self-service payment terminals in all its stations in September, Chief Engineer of the Transport Department of the Baku Metro, Etibar Isayev, told Trend .
50 terminals will be delivered in the coming days. The terminals are machines programmed to allow customers to pay in cash for the Metro's transport services, Isayev added.
Similar terminals have been installed at stations "Elimlar Akademiyasi", "28 May" and "Icheri Shahar".
The terminals allow the passenger to transfer the required number of trips onto the travel-card by paying with cash, one and five manat notes and 0.20 and 0.50 manat coins. The payment system, which checks the information entered into the terminal, transfers the money (i.e. the number of trips) onto the passenger's travel-card.
