BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 4. The construction of a Wildberries logistics center in Kyrgyzstan is set to begin in 2025, Kanat Dzhumagaziev, the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Chuy region, said in an interview with local media, Trend reports.
Dzhumagaziev mentioned that land for the construction has been allocated in the Chuy region, and the company plans to invest $15 million into the project.
It was previously reported that the Wildberries logistics center will be constructed on a 38-hectare land plot.
Wildberries is a large Russian online retailer founded in 2004. As of January to August 2024, clothing sales on the platform in Kyrgyzstan have increased by 90 percent compared to the same period last year.
Moreover, warehouses for marketplaces are planned to be established in the Naryn region by the end of 2027 at the International Trade and Logistics Center Atbashy. These warehouses will serve as storage facilities for goods from major platforms like Ozon, Yandex Market, Alibaba, Pinduoduo, Taobao, Wildberries, Avito, Satu, and others.
