A team of Qatari military experts arrived in Iran to monitor the trainings in the Hormuz Strait, IRNA reported.
"We are interested in learning the experience of the Iranian military experts," head of the Qatari delegation Ibrahim Abdulrahim said. "We also welcome the joint Navy exercises in the Persian Gulf, but permission from the military leaders of those countries should be received for this."
The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched trainings in the Hormuz Strait April 22. The "Great Prophet 5" trainings that timed to the date of creation of the Corps will be held over three days. The training will be attended by air, sea and ground units.
