An Israeli airstrike on the Gaza Strip late Friday killed four militants, including a top Hamas commander, medical officials said, bringing to 31 the combined death toll since Israel began its offensive against Hamas on Wednesday, DPA reported.
Some 28 of the fatalities were Palestinians, ten of them civilians, killed in Israeli air strikes, the other three were Israelis killed when a Hamas rocket hit an apartment building.
Ahmed Abu Jalal, killed in the Friday evening raid, was the commander of the Hamas military wing in the Gaza Strip.
