Azerbaijani judoka, Kifayat Gasimova, gained bronze medal in the World Championship in the Dutch city of Rotterdam.
In semifinal she lost to Portuguese Telma Monteryo.
Gasimova, 26, beat her Russian rival Irina Zabludina in the first round. She also gained victory over Austrian Judoka, Sabrina Filzmoser, in the second round.
The Azerbaijani judoka gained victory over Hungarian Hedvig Karakas in the quarter finals.
Sarkhan Ahmadov (66kg) was the only one from the national team to take part in the competition on the first day of the championship. He lost in the second round.
