(autoinsidernews) - The Chrysler Group will begin building a production version of the Dodge Avenger Concept early next year, the company said in a memo to dealers. Dodge unveiled an Avenger Concept at the Paris Motor Show back in September. While just about everyone knew that the Concept would eventually make it to production, the Chrysler Group never officially confirmed that it would build it, reports Trend.

Production is expected to begin in January at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant, which also makes the Sebring sedan and convertible. The Dodge Avenger is expected to be on showroom floors by February 2007.

The Chrysler Group memo also said that the automaker plans to launch production of its 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Caravan minivans on September 1.
