The statements by U.S. officials on the fight against terrorism is nothing more than a platitude, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said, MEHR agency reported.
"We call on Obama to stand on the right path", Mottaki said today at a press conference in Tehran.
He said that Tehran strives for the United States to think about the interests of peoples of the region and the U.S people, their fates. "The damage, was mostly caused to the image of the U.S people by politicians of this country," Mottaki said.
The U.S. assures the world of the need to combat terrorism and at the same time receives head of the terrorist group of the region in a military headquarters (according to the National Security of Iran not confirmed by the U.S., leader "Jundullah" Abdul Malik Reigi visited the U.S headquarters in Pakistan and planned to visit the base at Manas, Kazakhstan). The whole world saw what happened in Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib, those who spoke of human rights," he said.
