Iran’s unemployment rate indicates university graduates are the biggest unemployed population in the country. The share of unemployed graduates in the fall of 2018 increased from 37 percent to 40 percent.
The Statistics Center of Iran report shows university graduates’ share of unemployment rate had a 3.4 percent growth to 40.5 percent, Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.
Iran’s Sixth Development Plan (2016-2021) predicted a drop of unemployment to 8.6 percent by 2021.
However, to achieve this goal the country needs to create one million jobs annually and fill the gap.
This Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), compared to last year, unemployment rate in Iran has been stable.
