Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 12 /corr. Trend N.Kirtskhalia / The U.S. Senator, Democrat John Kerry
will arrive in Tbilisi today at night. The Senator from Massachusetts will head
the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee starting from Jan. 2009, the Embassy
of the USA in Georgia said.
During the visit to Georgia on Dec. 13, Kerry will meet with the President of
Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili, Prime Minister Grigol Mgaloblishvili,
parliamentary majority and opposition.
The meetings will focus on the Georgian-American co-operation and political
situation in the region.
It should be noted that in 2004 John Kerry was a presidential candidate in the USA from the Democratic Party.
