Tunisia reopened Ras El Jedir, the country's main border crossing with Libya, the official TAP news agency reported Sunday.
The border crossing was closed for more than a week by the Tunisian authorities for security reasons, and remained open for emergency humanitarian purposes only, Xinhua reported.
The border crossing which is under the control of the rebels since Friday, witnessed very little traffic, both ways, TAP said.
The Ras El Jedir border crossing, one of the main routes for fuel and food supplies to the Libyan capital Tripoli, has seen fierce fighting between forces loyal to embattled Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and the rebels over the past months.
