The German parliament is to begin considering Thursday the emergency Greek debt deal that was hammered out in Brussels this week, dpa reported.
German lawmakers are expected to back the package of measures when they vote Friday on the plan, which includes providing cash-strapped Greece with the next tranche of aid totalling 43.7 billion euros (56.6 billion dollars).
The opposition Greens have already signalled that they will join Chancellor Angela Merkel's centre-right coalition in supporting the aid programme.
The main Social Democrats are expected to announce Thursday how they will vote on the package.
Parliaments in other eurozone states, such as the Netherlands and Estonia, are also due to consider the rescue plan, which was agreed to at marathon talks overnight Tuesday between the International Monetary Fund and eurozone finance ministers.
But Germany is the biggest contributor to the eurozone rescue funds so the vote in its parliament is seen as crucial in Europe's efforts to head off Greece being forced to declare bankruptcy and to exit the eurozone.
