Hakimi/ Suicide bomber targeted Afghan-International joint patrol in Herat In a suicide attack in Adraskan district in Herat province, at least four policemen and one civilian were injured. Head of the province's police department, Ismatullah Alizai, said the attack occurred at five o'clock in the evening when a unit of ISAF and Afghan police forces was passing from the area. He said one police officer and three police soldiers were injured and one police was killed in the incident. Also a police vehicle is destroyed in the incident. Mr. Alizai said he did not know anything about the IASF casualties in the incident, and added that a civilian was also injured in the attack, but an Afghan military official who did not mention his name, said: "ISAF forces fired on the civilian and injured him." |
