Azerbaijani popular artist Alim Gasimov performed Azerbaijani Mugam in Rome's largest concert hall Auditorium Parco della Musica.
Azerbaijani outstanding mugam singer with her daughter Fargana performed with great success in Rome together with the U.S group Kronos Quartet with the program "Azerbaijani Evening", the Azerbaijani Embassy in Italy told Trend.
A meeting devoted to Azerbaijani Mugam was also held at Rome's Accademia Nationale di Santa Cecilia with the participation of Alim Gasimov and the accompanying ensemble.
Azerbaijani national musical instruments were presented to participants of the meeting. Azerbaijan Mugam and folk songs were performed.
The meeting was held under the patronage of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Italy.
