BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 23. Azerbaijan’s state budget for next year will allocate roughly 17.1 billion manat ($10 billion) to social spending, accounting for 41.1 percent of total expenditures.
Data obtained by Trend indicates that social spending will cover salaries, food procurement, pensions and social benefits, medicines and medical supplies, compulsory health insurance, and other social support measures.
These allocations represent an increase of about 213.4 million manat ($125.5 million), or 1.3 percent, compared to 2025, and roughly 2.49 billion manat ($1.46 billion), or 17 percent, compared to the 2024 execution. Compared with 2022, the share of social spending in total budget expenditures has risen by 5 percentage points, with an absolute increase of around 5.56 billion manat ($3.27 billion), or 48.1 percent.
