The first edition of the Al-Hayat (Life) newspaper, issued by the National Cultural Autonomy of Nijni-Novgorod Azerbaijanis, has been published.
The issue of the newspaper has been dedicated to the All-Russian Muslim Forum Believers of Russia for equality and civil consent held in Nijni-Novgorod, ITAR-TASS reports with reference to the printing house.
The plans of the newspaper include representing the culture and traditions of the Azeri people, assisting the Azerbaijanis who reside in Russia with regards to living, working and adapting to new conditions, introducing them to the Russian legislation and rules of registration.
Nearly 200,000 Azerbaijanis live in Nijni-Novgorod.
