TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 10. Navoi Mining & Metallurgical Company (NMMC), the world’s fourth-largest gold producer, announced its operational results for the six months ended June 30, 2025, Trend reports.
During the initial semester of 2025, NMMC disclosed an aggregate
gold production valuation of 60.8 trillion soums ($4.7 billion),
signifying an extraordinary 101.4 percent escalation relative to
the corresponding timeframe in 2024. The enterprise generated
1,537,600 troy ounces of gold, reflecting a marginal increase from
1,516,800 troy ounces in the first half of 2024.
Capital outlays totaled $219.5 million within the framework of
NMMC’s continuous investment strategy. Strategic production
optimization initiatives yielded a substantial cost reduction of
1.8 billion soums ($139.6 million). Furthermore, the organization’s
localization initiative markedly enhanced domestic supply output to
757.5 billion soums ($58.8 million).
Via its cross-sectoral industrial collaboration initiative, NMMC
allocated upwards of 3.6 trillion soums ($279.3 million) towards
the procurement of resources, thereby bolstering the expansion of
domestic industries.
These comprehensive findings highlight NMMC’s dedication to
sustainable development and operational superiority in the
international gold sector.
NMMC is recognized as the world’s fourth-largest gold producer, with an annual output of 3.1 million ounces in 2024 and a total mineral resource base of 146 million ounces. The company’s key operations include the Muruntau-Myutenbay mine, the world’s largest open-pit gold deposit, boasting a resource base exceeding 100 million ounces. NMMC’s integrated business model encompasses exploration, mine construction, operation of mining and processing facilities, and gold refining, as well as mining equipment manufacturing and maintenance.
