BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. The strategic partnership between the banking associations of Azerbaijan and Poland has been strengthened, the Executive Vice President of the Polish Banking Association, Włodzimierz Kiciński, said at the 9th International Banking Forum held today in Baku, Trend reports.

In his address, the Polish financier emphasized that efforts are ongoing to further expand the long-term strategic partnership between the Azerbaijan Banking Association and the Polish Banking Association. He highlighted that the existing cordial relations between the two countries, coupled with a history of successful economic collaboration and the growing volume of bilateral trade, provide a solid foundation for deepening future cooperation.

He further noted, "The Polish Banking Association represents nearly all financial institutions operating within the country. Currently, there are 550 banks in Poland, including 65 commercial banks and approximately 500 cooperative banks, many of which are active in agricultural regions. The primary challenges facing the banking sector are linked to geopolitical developments, increasing investment demands, and the need to meet customers' expectations at an elevated level."

"In Poland," he added, "there is a well-established cooperation between private and state-owned banks. Additionally, the Banking Technology Forum plays a significant role in introducing innovative solutions within the sector."

“More than 50 percent of Polish bank customers use only mobile banking. The country's banking system is considered modern, efficient, and highly capitalized. This is evidenced by the fact that four Polish banks are among the 34 global leaders in digital banking,” He emphasized.
