Tbilisi denies report by Gasprom about Georgia resumes gas delivery to S. Ossetia

Georgia, Tbilisi, Jan. 6 / Trend , N.Kirtskhalia / Georgia denies the report released by Russian media about the readiness to resume natural gas delivery to South Ossetia. A Ministry reported to Trend on Jan. 6 that the resumption of gas delivery was impossible because of the damage to the gas pipe in the territory of S. Ossetia controlled by Russia.
 

The information about Georgia's readiness to resume gas delivery to S.Ossetia was voiced by chairman of the board of Gasprom Alexei Miller at the working meeting with PM Vladimir Putin.

Georgia stopped gas supply to S. Ossetia after the Russian troops entered into S. Ossetia in August. Georgia proposed to hold international monitoring over the gas pipe, but Russia blocked this proposal.

The Georgian Parliament stated that besides technical issues, there was a legislative decision, which interfere company's functioning in the territory of S.Ossetia and therefore this issue must be solved within legislative framework.
