BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 2. The new complex of Iran’s Pars Glycol Petrochemical Company with an annual production capacity of 553,500 tons was put into use in Bushehr Province (southern Iran), on March 2, 2023, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.
The company's complex can generally produce 500,000 tons of monoethylene glycol, 50,000 tons of diethylene glycol and 3,500 tons of triethylene glycol per year.
The Pars Glycol Petrochemical Company will receive 340,000 tons of ethylene from Bushehr Petrochemical Company and 226 million cubic meters of oxygen from Damavand Petrochemical Company as yearly raw materials.
The main shareholder of Pars Glycol Petrochemical Company is Bakhtar Group Company.
The construction of the mentioned company's complex started in 2014 and is located on an area of 7.33 hectares. It will mainly produce PET (polyethylene terephthalate) raw materials, anti-freeze and textile materials.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Oil Minister Javad Owji, Deputy Oil Minister and the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Mohsen Khojasteh Mehr and other officials attended the event dedicated on the launch of the complex.
