BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. Azerbaijan exported 223,300 tons of crude oil and oil products derived from bituminous rocks to the Netherlands from January through May 2025, valued at $126.5 million.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that
this denotes a surge of $69.5 million, equating to a 2.2-fold
escalation in monetary metrics, alongside an augmentation of
133,400 tons, reflecting a 2.5-fold increase in volumetric metrics,
relative to the corresponding timeframe in 2024.
The Netherlands positioned itself as the tenth-largest conduit for
Azerbaijan’s hydrocarbon exports throughout the specified reporting
interval.
It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan has engaged in the exportation of
10.4 million metric tons of crude oil and oil derivatives sourced
from bituminous substrates to a total of 17 nations, culminating in
a substantial revenue stream of $5.6 billion during the period
spanning January to May 2025.
This signifies a contraction of $615.9 million, equating to a 9.8
percent depreciation in monetary metrics, whereas the export
throughput experienced an uptick of 493,400 tons, translating to a
5 percent increase relative to the corresponding timeframe in
2024.
