SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) has combined its Drilling Work Department Bulla with its other Drilling Work Department Bayil Limani, a source in SOCAR told Trend. Farhad Mammadov has been appointed as the Chief of the new Department.
The amalgamation of the above-mentioned drilling departments will allow extending the volume of work of Bulla that currently has few areas for drilling.
This summer, SOCAR consolidated its Oil and Gas Production Association Bula-Daniz with Oil and Gas Production Association Named after N. Narimanov.
In January, 2006, the Narimanov Oil and Gas Production Association produced 731 mln 685 th. cubic meters which is by 0,2% less, versus the corresponding period of the last year. The volume of oil produced by the Production Association in this period was 383,185 tons which is by 15% more against the corresponding period of the last year.
