BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. In February 2024, around 34,873 Turkish tourists visited Azerbaijan, representing a 47.06 percent increase over the same time in 2023, Trend reports.
According to Azerbaijan's State Tourism Agency, 23,714 Turkish
visitors visited Azerbaijan during the same period last year.
A total of 67,742 Turkish visitors visited Azerbaijan from January
to February of this year, which is 38.75 percent higher than the
figure for the same time in 2023 (48,823 persons).
Meanwhile, 340,836 foreigners visited Azerbaijan from January to
February of this year, 46.55 percent more than at the same time in
2023 (232,567).
However, 2,086,548 international visitors visited Azerbaijan in
2023, up more than 30.2 percent from 1,602,600 in 2022, including
378,204 from Türkiye, up 21.27 percent from 311,880 in 2022.
To note, a total of 1,957,285 travelers arrived from Türkiye to Azerbaijan between 2017 and 2023 (2017 - 301,553, 2018 - 291,259, 2019 - 316,404, 2020 - 160,513, 2021 - 197,472, 2022 - 311,880 and 2023 - 378,204).
