Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy shares forecast for oil refining in 2022

The volume of oil refining will be 17.9 million tons in 2022 according to the plan, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bolat Akchulakov said in the Central Communications Service, Trend reports.

According to him, the volume of oil refining at three refineries amounted to 17.028 million in 2021, which is 7.7 percent more than the corresponding period in 2020.

“At the same time, in 2021, the volume of manufacturing the oil products amounted to: motor gasoline – 4812.8 thousand tons, or 7.3 percent more than the same period in 2020; diesel fuel - 4870.2 thousand tons or 107 percent by the corresponding period of 2020; aviation fuel – 586.5 thousand tons or 33.9 percent more than the corresponding period of 2020; fuel oil – 2410.4 thousand tons or 16.6 percent more than the same period in 2020,” the head of the department said.

He also noted that in 2022, the volume of oil refining is scheduled to be 17.9 million tons, which is 5.1 percent more than in 2021; motor gasoline – 4985 thousand tons, an increase of 3.5 percent compared to 2021; diesel fuel - 5133 thousand tons, which is 5.4 percent more than in 2021; and jet fuel - 686.7 thousand tons, an increase of 17 percent compared to 2021.
