Kyrgyzstan ramps up oil product exports to Türkiye in 9M2024

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 3. Kyrgyzstan exported 72,399 tons of oil products to Türkiye from January through September 2024, which is a 10.9 percent increase compared to 65,271 tons during the same period in 2023, Trend reports.

According to the country's State Statistical Committee, the exports were valued at $51.873 million, up 27.7 percent from $40.616 million in January-September of the previous year.

Türkiye received the largest share of Kyrgyzstan's oil product exports, with Uzbekistan following as the second-largest importer, receiving 56,767 tons worth $16.241 million.

Overall, Kyrgyzstan exported 158,669 tons of oil products worth $101.381 million from January through September 2024. The volume of these exports rose by 20.6 percent compared to 131,557 tons in the same period of 2023. The value of exports increased by 30.9 percent from $77.423 million in January–September 2023.

Overall, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $12 billion in the first nine months of 2024, a rise of 8.4 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Exports totaled $2.7 billion, which is a 28.2 percent increase, while imports amounted to $9.2 billion, growing by 3.7 percent year-on-year.
