During the nine months of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), licenses have been issued for the operation of 159 projects in the industrial sector of Iran’s Semnan province, said Rashid Yazdanfar, deputy chairman of Iran’s Semnan Province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization, Trend reports via Shata.
He said that the industrial projects that should be commissioned within 9 months with investments worth 46 trillion rials (about $1.09 billion) will provide jobs for about 35,000 people.
He added that 1,452 industrial licenses have been issued for the nine months in the province. The licenses were issued for the commissioning of 159 projects and creation of 1,293 projects, he noted.
He said that plants and workshops with investments worth 5.7 trillion rials (about $135 million) in the province received operating licenses during this period, adding that about 2,200 people were employed.
“So far, 2009 industrial units with investments worth about 51 trillion rials (about $1.21 billion) have acquired operating licenses and presently operate in the Semnan province,” he noted. “Thus, jobs were created for 52,000 people.”
