In the Turkish village Sultanshehmuz in Mardin province unknown armed men attacked on a group of people, celebrating a wedding, killing 41 people, injured many others, the Assistant Governor of Mardin province Mehmet Bashir Ayanogli said.
"What happened is not like a terrorist act", said Ayanogli.

The attackers used grenades and long-barreled arms.
