On February 23rd Azerbaijanis, living in Sweden, will gather on Mynttorget, one of the central squares of Stockholm, to hold a rally in honor 21st anniversary of Khojaly tragedy. The rally is organized by Committee, based in Stockholm and uniting Azerbaijani compatriots. The rally will be held right in front of the building of Sweden Parliament Riksdag, the press service of Committee of Azerbaijanis in Sweden reports. CAS is directly involved in the activity of the Committee and organization of the demonstration.

Other diaspora organizations, particularly the representatives of Uygur and Turkish diasporas in Sweden, are invited to the rally. Moreover, the invitation of participation in the rally was sent to all political parties of the country and different international organizations. The resolution on three languages - Azerbaijani, Swedish and Russian - will be read out during the rally in honor of Khojaly tragedy of 1992. The given document, composed by all Azerbaijani diaspora unions of Sweden, will be sent to the deputies of Riksdag and leaders of political parties. The resolution calls upon bringing to justice Armenian criminals, who committed one of the most terrifying genocides against civilians in 20th century.

"Furthermore, Armenian armed forces must immediately leave the territory of Azerbaijan, and Armenia is obliged to demonstrate cooperation with international organizations in search of lost Azerbaijanis during the conflict. Armenian occupation of Azerbaijan territories caused enormous material damage, that's why Armenia must be brought to international justice and pay compensation to Azerbaijan. International community should immediately impose political and economic sanctions against Armenia due to the refusal to withdraw from occupied Azerbaijani territories and judge Armenian military criminals according to international law.

In the end of the resolution Azerbaijanis of Sweden urge Swedish government, Parliament, political parties and NGOs to take an active part in the recognition of the Armenian aggression and demand the immediate withdrawal of Armenian forces from the occupied Azerbaijani territories.

Along with this, a video file showing atrocities committed by Armenians against Azerbaijani civilians of Khojaly will be sent to Swedish politicians.

In the framework of the rally Azerbaijani flag will be waved and the pictures from that terrifying tragedy will be shown.
