Iran will impose a 20-25 percent duty on export of mining raw materials starting from September 23, Iran’s Deputy Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Jafar Sarqeyni said, Trend reports citing Shata news agency.
He said that a 25 percent duty on iron ore concentrate and pellets also will be applied.
He added that the decision is aimed at preventing export of mining raw materials and increasing value added.
The decision will support domestic production, the deputy minister said.
