Maroon Oil and Gas Exploitation Company has fulfilled its production program by 99.4 percent last Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2010-March 20, 2011) with the average production of 572,000 barrels of oil per day, Moj reported quoting Managing Director of Maroon Oil and Gas Exploitation Company Hamid Bovard as saying.
Bovard said that about 450,000 barrels of oil were delivered to the Isfahan refinery while the rest volume was delivered to the Kharg oil exports terminal during the above mentioned period.
About 26 million cubic meters of gas were injected to Martoun and Koupal reservoirs which raised wells output during this period, Bovard added.
Roughly 470 million cubic feet of light gas per day have been collected and delivered to the National Iranian Gas Company for domestic consumption last Iranian calendar year, Bovard stressed.
Maroon Oil and Gas Exploitation Company is affiliated to the National Iranian South Oilfields Company. The company leads and controls crude oil production in Maroon, Koupal and Shadegan oil fields in Khuzestan Province.
Earlier, National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Director of Exploration Mahmoud Mohaddes said that Iran plans to explore new reserves having 500 million barrels of oil and 5 trillion cubic feet of gas per year within a five year plan (2011-2016).
Later he pointed out that Iran has discovered 19 new oil fields and eight new gas reserves during its Fourth Five Year Development Plan (2005-2010).
