ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 12. Kazakhstan exported 43,100 tons of aluminum to Azerbaijan from January through April 2024, Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan increased its imports of aluminum from Kazakhstan by 8 times compared to the same period last year, reaching 5,500 tons.
During the same timeframe, Uzbekistan also significantly boosted its aluminum imports from Kazakhstan, nearly multiplying them by 10.5 times, from 200 to 2,100 tons.
Additionally, this year Kazakhstan exported aluminum to Poland (14,300 tons), Belarus (2,270 tons), Bulgaria (2,670 tons), and Italy (3,100 tons), whereas in 2023, no aluminum was exported to these countries from Kazakhstan.
Meanwhile, from January to April 2024, the volume of aluminum exports increased by 4.7 times, rising from 16,000 to 75,400 tons.
Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant JSC, located in the Pavlodar region, remains the sole producer of primary aluminum countrywide.
