Spy Shots: high-performance 2008 Subaru Legacy?

Business Materials 4 September 2006 13:39 (UTC +04:00)

(autoinsidernews) - Spy photographers caught a Subaru Legacy test mule out testing in Death Valley. Sporting an STI-like hood scoop, which indicates that theres a little something extra under the hood, reports Trend.

There are plenty of rumors of what could be under the hood. One option could be the long-standing rumors of a twin-turbo flat-6. Or it could be another high-performance engine.

The test mule is sporting a revamped front bumper, but the grille and headlamps look to be current generation. Out back, the taillamps are unchanged from the current version and while there are no exhaust tips coming out the rear, there are cutouts in the rear fascia.

The 2008 U.S.-spec Legacy and Outback are expected to look like the 2007 JDM models.
