Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr.U.Ismaylova / MP Vahid Ahmadov stated on 24 July that the Azerbaijani Government has adequate financial resources to compensate for the grain shortage, which has caused a rise in the price of bread in many Azerbaijani regions.
" Azerbaijan has its own grain terminal in Hovsan," Ahmadov said. Ahmadov noted that Azerbaijan should take into consideration the number of pensioners who receive AZN 50 per month, as well as the unemployed and take steps to regulate prices.
The average price of bread is AZN 0.3. Presently the price of bread in some Azerbaijani regions has increased by 50%.
