BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 4. Households accounted for the largest share of issued loans in Azerbaijan on January 31, 2024, accounting for 57.86 percent of the total volume of lending, Trend reports.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), the volume of loans issued to households increased by 2.6 billion manat ($1.5 billion), or 23.57 percent (from 11.4 billion manat ($6.7 billion) to 14 billion manat ($8.2 billion)) in the period.
At the same time, the crediting of the trade and services sector increased by 259.2 million manat ($152.4 million) or 7.98 percent to 3.5 billion manat ($2 billion) against 3.2 billion manat ($1.8 billion) in the same period last year. The share of the trade and services sector in the total volume of lending amounted to 14.39 percent.

Meanwhile, as of January 31, 2024, lending to the real sector of Azerbaijan's economy increased by 20.25% or 4.1 billion manat ($2.4) compared to the same period in 2022 (from 20.2 billion manat ($11.8 billion) to 24.3 billion manat ($14.2 billion)).
