TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 30. Uzbekistan plans to produce household appliances and aluminum radiator heaters in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
This matter was reviewed during a meeting between Uzbek representatives of the enterprises of the electrical industry headed by Chairman of the Uzeltechsanoat Association Mirziyod Yunusov and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli.
The Uzbek side presented information on parameters and technical and economic indicators related to the projects to the representatives of Azerbaijan.
As a result of the discussions, the parties agreed on the implementation of these projects, their location in special industrial zones, the provision of privileges, and amendments to the legislation.
The sides also plan to develop a bilateral roadmap to accelerate the implementation of the projects. According to the roadmap, the projects will be implemented in stages.
Meanwhile, as per data from the Uzbek Statistics Agency, the trade turnover volume between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan amounted to $142 million from January through March 2024.
