BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. Thailand imported nearly 137,800 tons of crude oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous minerals from Azerbaijan from January through April 2025, totaling $75.9 million in value.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that
this signifies a contraction of $127.2 million, or 62.6 percent, in
valuation, alongside a reduction of 189,200 tons, or 57.9 percent,
in throughput, relative to the corresponding timeframe in 2024.
During this timeframe, Thailand positioned itself as the 11th
largest market for the exportation of crude oil from
Azerbaijan.
It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan engaged in the exportation of
crude oil and petroleum derivatives sourced from bituminous
minerals, amounting to a valuation of $4.6 billion and a total mass
of 8.2 million tons, distributed across 17 nations during the
period spanning January to April 2025.
