BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 22. Iran's diesel production has seen a notable rise, with daily output increasing by 12.6 percent - translating to an additional 15 million liters of diesel per day over the past four months since the current government's term began, Deputy Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), Mohammad Ali Dadvar told reporters, Trend reports.
Dadvar said that over the last four months, the country’s diesel production has risen from 111 million liters per day to 125 million liters per day.
The official also mentioned that within the next two months, the operations on development projects at the Abadan Oil Refinery are expected to be completed. With the completion of these operations, an additional 3 million liters of diesel will be produced, bringing the national diesel output to approximately 128-130 million liters per day.
Additionally, Dadvar highlighted that during the current government's term, gasoline production has also risen by 10 million liters per day. He noted that the highest gasoline production was recorded on December 17, when 118 million liters of gasoline and nearly 170 million liters of diesel were produced.
Iran’s 10 oil refineries process 2,286,000 barrels of crude oil and gas condensate daily, with the country producing an average of 115 million liters of gasoline per day.
