В"I am really impressed with Georgias success on its way to North Atlantic Alliance. You have achieved much striving to join NATOВ", reportedly said US Senator Richard Lugar, head of US Foreign Relations Committee, speaking at press conference held together with Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogandeli.
Namely for this reason US will help and support Georgia in its joining NATO.
Georgia already completed the Individual Program of Affiliated partnership in NATO and is now going to pass to Membership Affiliation Program. Official Tbilisi suggests documenting the new program at NATO summit in Riga in fall 2006.
In turn, Nogandeli said on this matter that Georgia sets joining NATO the top priority objective.
